This datasheet is for version 23.0 of the the Mozilla Common Voice Scripted Speech dataset for Adamawa Fulfulde (fub). The dataset contains 14 hours of recorded speech (14 hours validated) from 16 speakers.

Language

Adamawa Fulfulde (also referred to simply as Fulfulde) is one of several varieties of Fulfulde, or Puular, or Fula spoken troughout the Sahel region in Africa. Adamawa Fulfulde is native to a population located in the Adamawa, North and Far-North Regions of Cameroon.

Variants

Speakers of Adamawa Fulfulde, including the contributors to this dataset, distinguish three main sub-varieties spoken in three main settlement areas: Maroua, Garoua, and Ngaoundéré. The variety used in the sentence prompts is Ngaoundéré.
